Pattex SL 212 General Purpose

General Information

Pattex SL212 is a ready-to-use silicone sealant for general purpose sealing applications (indoor and outdoor). It is an acetoxy silicone sealant suitable for sanitary or other construction sealing applications. Good adhesion to a variety of non-porous substrates, resistant to ultra-violet radiation, waterproof, good chemical resistance, excellent elasticity.

How to use

  1. Surface must be cleaned, dry and free from grease and dust.
  2. After suitable joint preparation and masking, the sealant is gunned into place and tooled within 5 to 10 minutes, using a spatula that has been dipped in soapy water.
  3. Masking tape is then removed immediately.
  4. Uncured material can be removed by using a solvent. Cured material may be removed by abrasion or other mechanical means.
